Area of application

With this data protection declaration, users receive information about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.

The Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG) form the legal framework for data protection.

Collection of general information

With every access to this service, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also known as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

Among other things, this information is collected: Name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your Internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website) and the IP address.

Without this data it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of data is absolutely necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. They help us to optimise our offer and technology. We also reserve the right to subsequently check the log files in the event of suspicion of illegal use of our services.

Handling of Personal Information

Definition: Personal data is any information that uniquely identifies a person. It is therefore data that can be traced back to a person.

These personal data include the first name and surname, telephone number and e-mail address. Personal data also includes information on hobbies, memberships and preferences as well as websites that have been viewed.

These are only collected and used and passed on by the provider if the legislator explicitly permits this or if the user consents to the collection, processing, use and passing on of the data.

Registering for Our Website

When you register on our website in order to make use of our provided services, personal data will be collected. This includes your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address as well as contact and communication data.

Registration allows access to services and content that are only available to registered users. If necessary, registered users have the possibility to change or delete the data provided during registration at any time. Upon request, we will of course inform you which personal data has been collected and stored. Beyond that we correct or delete the data on request, provided that the request does not conflict with any legal storage obligations. If you have any questions or requests for correction or deletion of your data, please use the contact data stated in this data protection declaration.

Provision of chargeable services

We request additional data to enable us to provide services that are subject to a payment charge. This applies, for example, to payment details.

To ensure the security of your data during transmission, we work with encryption methods (such as SSL) via HTTPS, which reflect the current state of the art technology.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the information you provide exclusively for this purpose or to inform you of the circumstances relevant to this service or registration. We do not pass these data on to third parties.

A valid e-mail address is required to receive the newsletter. The IP address you use to subscribe to the newsletter and the date on which you subscribe to the newsletter are also stored. This data serves us as proof of misuse if an external e-mail address is registered for the newsletter. In order to ensure that an e-mail address is not misused by third parties on our mailing list, we work in compliance with the law using the so-called "double opt-in" procedure. Within the framework of this procedure, the order of the newsletter, the sending of the confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the registration confirmation are recorded.

You have the possibility at any time to revoke your consent to the storage of the data, your e-mail address and their use for the newsletter dispatch. For the revocation we provide you in each newsletter and on the website a link. You also have the option of informing us of your wish to cancel using the contact options mentioned in this document.

Contact Form

If you contact us via the online form or by e-mail, we will store the information you provide in order to answer your inquiry and ask possible follow-up questions.

Integration of third-party services and content

Our offer may include contentand services provided by other parties. These include maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube and graphics and images from other websites. In order for this data to be viewed and displayed in the user's browser, the transmission of the IP address is absolutely necessary. The providers (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") thus perceive the IP address of the respective user.

Although we make an effort to use only third-party providers who only need the IP address to deliver content, we have no influence on whether the IP address may be stored. In this case, this process is used for statistical purposes, among other things. If we have knowledge that the IP address is stored, we point this out to our users.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer from the server. They contain information about the browser, the IP address, the operating system and the Internet connection. This data will not be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

Cookies have two main functions. They help us to make it easier for you to navigate through our website and to display it correctly. They are not used to infiltrate viruses or start programs.

Users have the possibility to access our website without cookies. To do this, the corresponding settings must be changed in the browser. Please refer to your browser's help function to find out how to deactivate cookies. However, we would like to point out that some functions of this website may be impaired and the user comfort may be restricted.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address will previously be reduced by Google within the states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website use and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Browser Add On to disable Google Analytics.

For more information on terms of use and data protection, please visit www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Use of Piwik

This website uses Piwik, an open source software that collects and stores data. This information is used for marketing and optimization purposes. Piwik uses the data to create user profiles using a pseudonym. For this purpose, the software stores cookies (text files) on your computer, which can be used to analyse your use of the website. Your IP address will be anonymized immediately after processing and before storage. The data is stored on the servers of the provider in Germany.

If you do not want Piwik to store cookies, you can use your browser settings to prevent the installation of cookies (please refer to the browser's help function). In this case you may not be able to use all functions of the website.

Minimising Data Storage

We store personal data in line with the principles of data prevention and data economy only as long as it is required or prescribed by law (legal storage period). If the purpose of the information collected no longer applies or if the storage period ends, we block or delete the data.

Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

You have the right, upon request and free of charge, to request information about the personal data stored by us and/or to request correction, blocking or deletion. Exceptions: This is the prescribed data storage for business transactions or the data is subject to the legal obligation to store.

For this purpose, please contact our data protection officer (contact details: at the end of this data protection declaration).

To be able to consider a data lock at any time, it is necessary to keep the data in a lock file for control purposes. If there is no legal archiving obligation, you can also request the deletion of the data. Otherwise we block the data if you wish.

Changes in Our Data Protection Declaration

In order to ensure that our data protection declaration always complies with current legal requirements, we reserve the right to make changes at any time. This also applies in the event that the data protection declaration has to be adapted due to new or revised services. The new data protection declaration will then take effect the next time you visit our website.
